Another Great CJU for UnsubCentral
This week marks another great CJU in the books. It was a busy week; full of workshops, meetings, happy hours and of course, the Santa Barbara beach. Below are a few of our highlights, and we’ll be back next week to recap some of our favorite sessions.
Monday night kicked off with the Impact Radius Happy Hour on the beautiful Canary roof top. It was 2/3 of our team’s first time to CJU and the views from the roof were a great introduction to Santa Barbara. After grabbing some dinner and watching football with one of our great partners, it was time to head to Blush for the OPM Pro’s kick off party. Great networking, an awesome photo booth and an epic candy bar made for an awesome night.
On Tuesday we headed to the Fess Parker to grab our badges and exhibit at the expo hall for the day. We have to say, Audible took the crown for best exhibit – chair massages during a conference? Probably the best booth I’ve ever seen.
After a quick change of footwear, we were decked out in sandals and beachwear to head to the official beach welcome party. It was great to see clients, talk with some great publishers and meet potential partners. After taking advantage of the flip book photo booth and eating plenty of ahi poke, we headed back to the Fess Parker to enjoy some wine tasting and smores.
Wednesday we kicked off the day by listening to the one and only Magic Johnson as the CJU Keynote speaker. He shared his insight on how to network, make your own path in business, venturing into unsaturated business markets and getting to know your customers. I have to say, Magic may have been my favorite keynote at a conference yet, though I am a little better he didn’t get quite close enough for the perfect photo. Next time, Magic, next time.
Next were some great sessions, my favorite being how to really use Attribution Analytics. Before we knew it, it was time for the CJU Awards Dinner and Casino Night. We’ll give a shout out to our own Cris Angelini for winning big (fake) money at the blackjack table!
We closed out the week on Thursday with a session on The Future of Affiliate Marketing according to a few industry experts. We’ll share our thoughts next week, and we’ll be sure to include how we think email fits into the future of affiliate marketing. Thanks to everyone who joined UnsubCentral for a post CJU happy hour at Fiueroa Mountain, we had a great time and are looking forward to seeing everyone in November at Ad:Tech!
